Malena Costa said last night that she feels very exciting after being crowned Queen of Cava 2011 in Sant Sadurni d'Anoia (Barcelona) in the Thirtieth Week of Cava. The model, who has relieved Carla Goyanes in the reign of Cava, was "delighted", saying "I'm very excited because I know it's important."


Malena Costa, who toured the main streets of the town in a convertible car and dressed by Pronovias, said she loves Cava because "you can drink it always and with everything". "Cava is always in the most important moments", she added.

About her relationship with the Barça's footballer, Carles Puyol, the model said they spent their first anniversary in Rome and she said "it was very romantic". After this she said that is "very happy in my life". Malena Costa made it clear that still has no wedding plans. "I am very young. I'm working a lot and I have no time to entertain me with those things" she said.

In adittion, Pere Bonet, president of the "cofradía del Cava" said he was happy that Malena has been chosen Queen of Cava because "she is beautiful, friendly and very nice". Malena Costa, was born 31st August 1989 in Mallorca. She started her trajectory when she was 17 in a tv show called Supermodelo 2006 (Cuatro). When the show finished Costa continued her ESO and high school studies without leaving aside the world of fashion, performance, or advertising. She studied Advertising and Public Relations and is currently studying Psychology in UNED. On the other hand, she signed a contract with Elite Model Management and has participated in several commercials. Currently she has a relationship with Carles Puyol, back and first captain of FC Barcelona.
