At this time we begin to think about the menu for Christmas lunch and dinner. Symbol of celebration and special occasions, cava can never miss our Christmas tables, but what cava have we to choose for each dish and what is the ideal way to serve? What is the best to accompany the seafood? What if we choose a roast? Follow these easy tips, sure they will bring glamor to your proposal:

1.   The CAVA, the most glamorous companion: thanks to its versatility, its slight presence of bubbles, delicate aroma and moderate alcohol content, Cava is the sparkling wine preferred to accompany meals and Christmas dinners.

2.   On each plate, a CAVA: be aware of the foods on the menu to choose the perfect cava for each course, playing with the harvest age, parenting time and type based on their content sugar

3.   For appetizers and starters such as seafood, oysters and fish is recommended fruity and typical point of acidity of EXTRA BRUT or EXTRA YOUNG BRUT.

4.   For meats, roasts and spicy foods and more worked, choose an EXTRA BRUT GRAND RESERVE or CAVA BRUT NATURE to give more body to these dishes.

5.   For dessert, the best option is a CAVA SEMI-DRY or SWEET, it brings the freshness and softness needed for after lunch or dinner.

6.   How do you serve? It is very important to avoid any sudden movement that can shake the content. To serve the cava you must picked up the bottle by the body, never by the neck, which is uncomfortable and unsightly. Cava must slide on the cup's wall not exceeding 2/3 of the capacity.

7.   At what temperature should you serve? The ideal temperature for serving young cavas is 6 ° to 8 °, for vintage wines between 8 ° and 10 °, bearing in mind that by serving it will increase 2 ° or 3 ° and that, on average, the temperature rises 1 ° every three minutes.

8.   How cool it? The best way is to introduce the bottles in a container with half ice and half water, at least half an hour before serving. You can also use the refrigerator, taking into account that at least three hours are needed for cooling.

9.   What cup is the most appropriate to drink it? The most appropriate cups for serving cava are white crystal and transparent, high and preferably tulip-shaped column to see the bubbles that it forms and enjoy the aroma. It is advisable to hold the cups by the stem to avoid warming the wine.

10.   How do you consume it? Cava should be tasted, admire the small and fine bubbles, the richness of its aroma, its complex taste, so it should not be drunk in a hurry. No abusing, it's good for health and gives great satisfaction to those who consume it.
