Cava Rosé consumption has tripled in the last ten years and more and more wineries are encouraged to bring to market new products of this type of sparkling. It sold a total of 24 million bottles in 2011, while in 2002, consumption was reduced to 8 million bottles.
The trend of consumption has changed considerably in recent years. According to figures from Cava Regulatory Board, in the nineties there were only a few companies that manufactured Cava Rosé and 90% of the cava was sold to foreign markets. Currently, there are 160 companies with Cava Rosé between its offer. In addition, motivated by fame achieved overseas, the market is increasingly interested in this sparkling with attractive color.
Made with mosastrell, grenache, pinot noir or trepat, these varieties give a unique color to the Rosé, which can go through a great many tonalities from the color cherry, strawberry and until salmon color.
Following the same method of elaboration that the other cavas, this wine is fresh, aromatic and light, aside fine and elegant. It is recommended to consume with snacks, cocktails, and combines perfectly with trice, salmon and sushi. A sherbet or strawberries to finish can also come with a good Rosé.
