The Cava Regulatory Board recalls that the deadline for submission to apply for VII Journalism 'Cava' Award ends next 29th February. All those who have been issued before January 31, 2012 can participate in the competition. All those works appeared in press, radio and television to disseminate the culture of Cava and enhance its prestige can also participate .
This award recognizes the work done by letter writing, voice or image that have helped spread the benefits of the cava and the industry that make it. The Journalist Award is endowed with 12,000€ for each of the three categories.
The work of candidates for the award must be sent to the offices of Cava Regulatory Board before February 29, 10 Feb. (Avenida de Tarragona, No. 24, Villafranca del Penedès) - 08720-Barcelona.
The importance of this award has been increasing year after year thanks to the quality of work and the prestige of the jurors who support the transparency and quality of the prize. At last year the jury was composed of journalists Rosa Maria Calaf and Pilar Cernuda, actor Arturo Fernandez and writers Antonio Gala and Joaquín Leguina.
The Journalist Award 'Cava' is a public recognition of informative work exerted by the media and that has positively influenced the recognition of this internationally renowned sparkling wine.
Bases VII Journalism Award 'Cava'
May apply for the Journalist Award 'Cava' works published in any media during the period between February 2010 and January 2012.
Press Category - Any written or digital. Papers must be signed with the name of the author. In case that have been published under a pseudonym or unsigned, the director of the media shall certify the name of the author. In addition, must be submitted two copies of the article specifying full details of the entrant, title and date of publication.
Radio and TV category .- Programs or radio spots or television. One copy shall be delivered as it was issued, together with the director's certificate in which he declares the title, date and time of issue.
The work on digital journalism and television media must certify the date of publication.
The awards will be decided before the day May 30, 2012 by vote of a jury in its deliberations assisted by a secretary with voice but no vote. The awards ceremony will take place at a ceremony held for that purpose.
Cava producers sold 152,2 million bottles abroad during 2011, which jeans a 2,07% increase over 2010 and sets a new international record in the history of this sparkling wine, according to the data announced today in a press conference by the Cava Regulatory Board chairman, Gustavo García Guillamet.
