The second place was for Juan Luis García Ruiz, sommelier in the restaurant Casa Marcial, in Asturias.
David Barro García, sommelier of Coalla Gourmet wine shop, was proclaimed this Monday in Oviedo winner of the sixth semifinal of the competition 'Best Cava Sommelier in Spain', whose final will be held in 2014.
In the event, organized by the Cava Regulatory Board, competed more than 20 sommeliers from Asturias and Cantabria, both professionals and students of various hotel schools.
In second place, with a money prize of 1,000 euros, came Juan Luis García Ruiz, sommelier of the two Michelin stars restaurant Casa Marcial in Arriondas (Asturias).
